About Local Roots
WHO: Team leader and Director David Kanchen Singh grew up in the shadows of the mighty Mt. Kanchenjunga, nestled in the Himalayas between the kingdoms of Nepal and Bhutan. His nick name 'Kanchen' given to him by his father a renowned Adventurer & Climber.
David's Outdoor Explorations began at an early age leading him to work with the likes of British Schools Exploring Society, The Royal Geographical Society, One Step Beyond - Robert Swan, numerous specialist Travel companies in Europe, USA for a period of over 10 years.
The next decade was spent leading Experiential & Adventure Tours in India and Bhutan with an experienced team of passionate and heartfelt individuals with great skill, professionalism, creativity and wisdom. The team and network of Locals helped to successfully operate and continue organically growing our Local network for over 25+ yrs, a valuable and laborious exercise as many similar Champions and Ambassadors may have experienced.

WHY: The immense rewards working closely with Local Communities at the Grass Root level, crafting meaningful client Connection's & making Lifetime memories. Celebrating and feeling proud of treading lightly on the environment in all our activities.
